My car is a 1996 Cadillac Sedan Deville. It is Polo Green metallic with a simulated tan convertible top and gold crest package. The interior is tan with leather upholstery. It is loaded with extra Comfort Equipment and Accessories. |

A BRIEF HISTORY 1996 CADILLAC DEVILLE by ANDREW MONAHAN Cadillac produced two models of the Deville - the "Deville" and the "Concours." While the 1995 Concours had the Northstar engine, the standard Deville did not. That deficiency was corrected with the 1996 models, so that both had the Northstar motor. As a result, the performance increased dramatically. The Deville has 275 horsepower and the Concours has 300 horsepower. Along with the Northstar engine, came a number of other components to improve the ride, handling, and braking. This makes the Deville one of the most favored luxury automobiles, especially with it's spacious six-passenger interior. |
