This 1979 Seville is the last
year for the first-generation body style. Bob's beautiful example is
finished in Basil Green Firemist with matching vinyl top. The
interior is finished in a complementing dark green.
Under the hood is a 5.7 liter
(350 cid) EFI V-8.
My 1979 Seville, in Firemist medium green metallic
color, with almost every option available at the time, is in superb
condition with 14,886 miles on the odometer, original in every way, and
properly serviced with all GM tune-up and replacement parts. This car was
special ordered by a Cadillac Motor Division executive with the intent of
having it as a collector car, representing the
first generation of the Seville downsized luxury sedan. The car was
delivered to a local dealer, Audette Cadillac, in West Bloomfield, MI, and
remained in his possesion until sold to a car collector in Pennsylvania,
who subsequently sold it at auction in Hershey, PA, to another collector
from whom I bought the car through a magazine ad. I want to emphasize
that this car is unique, in that it has been treated as a special,
historically collectible car since it was built, and never used for daily
driving or ordinary travel; it has been garaged and maintained in perfect
condition since new, as a personal inspection will show. I have all of
the original literature pertaining to this car, including dealer's window
sticker, factory repair manuals, etc. Since I've had the car, it has been
serviced only by a GM Delco authorized service station, whose owner is a
member of the GM Delco national service advisory board, and I have all
receipts to reflect this. The car is registered for regular road use,
having passed NJ emissions control testing with a rating eqluivalent to
late model vehicles."
