1949 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan

"Virginia"

The big news at Cadillac for 1949 was the introduction of a new overhead valve V-8 engine.  November 1949 saw the one-millionth Cadillac ever produced roll off the assembly line.

Doug's Series 62 Sedan in one of 37,617 produced that year.  Standing proud at 3,956 pounds, it cost approximately $3,050 when new.

Doug purchased "Virginia" in 2004, complete with the history of all previous owners.  With just over 46,000 miles on it, this very nice original car does see frequent use.  The car is very clean throughout - from engine bay to trunk.

In 2007, "Virginia" was treated to a "chrome-off" repaint in the original color.  Hopefully, we'll see her a Raritan River show very soon!
