The Cadillac Motor Car Company became a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors in July 1909 and Henry Leland continued as the company's president.

Cadillac's $1,400 1909 Model 30 replaced three prior model lines and was available in Touring, Demi-Tonneau and Roadster forms.  Its 226.2 cu-in L-head four-cylinder makes 30hp, and is mated to a three-speed, sliding gear transmission.  Options include magnetos, horns and a speedometer.
